Report: Figure has introduced its latest humanoid robot, “Figure 02”, which leverages OpenAI’s advanced language models for natural speech conversations. This development marks a significant advancement in human-robot interaction, building on the features of its predecessor, Figure 01.

  • Partnership with OpenAI: Figure 02 incorporates advanced natural language capabilities through a longstanding partnership with OpenAI, enhancing the robot’s ability to communicate effectively with human co-workers. This partnership helped Figure raise a $675 million Series B, valuing the company at $2.6 billion.
  • Enhanced Features and Capabilities: The robot is equipped with six RGB cameras, improved CPU/GPU computing, and enhanced hands with 16 degrees of freedom. These features, along with the ability to perform tasks autonomously using neural networks, make Figure 02 suitable for various industrial applications, including pilots with BMW.
